CHOW MEIN


BEEF CHOW MEIN

INGREDIENTS FOR MARINATION

1 cup beef ( ½ inch bite sized cubes)

1 tablespoon oil

1 tablespoon salt

1 tablespoon corn flour

1 tablespoon soy sauce

½ teaspoon black pepper

Mix all ingredients together and put for marination for ½ hour

INGREDIENTS FOR SAUCE

3 tablespoon oil

½ teaspoon ginger paste

½ teaspoon garlic paste

½ cup cabbage (shredded)

½ cup bell peppers ( ½ inch cubes)

½ cup carrots (boiled, round shape)

½ cup chicken stock

1 tablespoon woshtershire sauce

½ teaspoon chili sauce

1 tablespoon soy sauce

½ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

1 tablespoon corn flour

Water – as required

DIRECTIONS

Take Half a packet noodles and boil according to direction given.

Put oil in a pan or a wok and mix in garlic and ginger paste, saute for a few mins and start adding in all the vegetables.

Stir fry for about a minute and take the vegetables out leaving the remaining oil in the pan.

In the same wok or pan add in the marinated meat, fry properly till tender (add some water for beef).

Once the meat is cooked start adding in the other ingredients like stock, Worcestershire sauce, chili sauce, soy sauce, salt and black pepper.

Bring to boil and mix in the fried vegetables.

Mix 1 tablespoon cornflour to ½ cup water and stir in the pan stirring constantly on low flame.

Cook for about 2 mins and mix in the boiled noodles.
